The Indian education system has always focussed on Science and Maths as the key subjects. The outcome of this approach is that unwarranted pressure is put on students and most of them are literaly flogged to be successful in the said subjects irrespective of their thinking preferences and brain dynamics. All of us are taught to be left brained and we lose our creative abilities.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship are found to be lacking and most land up being corporate slaves irrespective of the fact that they were not born to be so.

There is no doubt that our basic thinking and behavioral preferences are determined by genetics which then undergo change due to external influences. It is not uncommon to find people saying that the profession or job that they do has no link to their educational qualifications.

There will always be a difference between thinking and behavioral attributes vis a vis capabilities. Is there a solution to the problem? Just as a doctor prescribes treatment after carefully studying the results of diagonistic tests, it is necessary for parents and teachers to review the thinking and behavioral preferences of the student by making them take authentic and well researched profiling tests. After a study of most testing tools the Emergenetcis STEP test assists parents, teachersand students in understanding and chosing an appropriate career.

Interested parents, teachers and students can contact Mr.Santosh Kumar Nair, who is a Certfied Associate for Emergenetics in India. He can be contacted by email at santosh@smgventure.com and on phone 98901 76247.
