DOEACC System is one of the best educational system in the world
Indian graduate and post graduate system has a basic flaw as complained by the corporate sector and the industry. Only 15% of engineering students are industry ready. The case of ordinary graduates and post graduates are even more pathetic. On the rise of India in the world map especially in the knowledge based industries, the lack of quality manpower is an acute problem that is faced by the industry.
To address the issue of quality manpower Govt. of India launched DOEACC Society (from 1990) which is a joint scheme undertaken by AICTE and Dept. of IT, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. DOEACC Society functions under the chairmanship of Minister of State, Communications and Information Technology. The scheme allows 10+2 qualifiers to enter the IT Education stream and has several entry and exit points. The scheme has 4 levels of examinations:-
1) O Level(Foundation)
2) A Level(Advanced Diploma)
3) B Level(MCA)
4) C Level (Technical Post Graduate)
Currently there are 6 lakh students registered in the various levels.
B Level is a graduate level course which is equivalent to B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc level. The examinations are held all over India and evaluations are done by leading academicians from IITs, IIMs, ISI, IISc etc. This only speaks about the quality of the course. B-Level has the following recognitions:-
1) MCA from AICTE and Dept. of Higher Education, MHRD, Govt. of India
2) B.S. in Computer Science in USA
3) Applied Bachelor's degree in Canada
4) Accepted by King's College London(Ranked 24th in the entire world) for M.Sc.
5) CITPM Associate qualification from Singapore Computer Society and National Infocomm Centre, Govt. Of Singapore.
6) IT Engineer status from Japanese Govt. [Equivalent or Higher than an University Engineering Graduate]
